A NEW APPROACH
Find Out How It Works
Millions of people across the nation struggle with addiction and suffer the indignities of the disease.
The complex nature of addiction requires treatment to be comprehensive. Effective treatment must address the psychosocial, behavioral, and medical/physical factors inherent in addiction.
The BioCorRx® Recovery Program is a proprietary medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, using specific cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) modules and peer support initially built around the use of sustain release naltrexone in any form (usually a naltrexone implant from a licensed sterile compounding pharmacy) for the treatment of alcohol and opioid use disorders. The program may, if prescribed by a physician, be utilized with other medications used to treat opioid use disorder such as buprenorphine. The program is only available from independent medical providers who deem it necessary for their patients. BioCorRx does not diagnose, treat, or sell the program to patients.
Naltrexone
Naltrexone is a non-addictive medication that has been FDA approved for decades for the treatment of opioid and alcohol use disorders. The medication can significantly reduce the physical cravings that are prevalent in alcohol and opioid use disorders but compliance with the oral form has been an issue. Sustained release forms of naltrexone in injectable and implantable forms can address patient compliance hurdles. The injectable form of naltrexone has been approved by the FDA. Naltrexone implants have not been evaluated for safety and effectiveness by the FDA but have been used worldwide for over 20 years by doctors who deem it essential for certain patients. BioCorRx does not sell naltrexone implants to patients.
Recovery Counseling
While sustained release naltrexone can be a powerful tool in the treatment and recovery process, it is important to remember that it is not a cure. There are more than simply the cravings to address when battling substance use disorder. Naltrexone acts to curb a person’s burdensome and intense cravings so they can be receptive to behavioral therapy and recovery support. With cravings under control a patient can focus on identifying and managing triggers, isolating and replacing destructive thought patterns, and modifying unhealthy behaviors.

Life in Recovery
The program is designed to work around the demands of one’s everyday life, and structured in a way so they will not be taken away from work or miss priceless time with family and friends.

Hope Revived
